How to Find Adams County Dockets Online
The main public source is the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search. For local state trial court dockets, use Adams County, Adams County Justice Center, and the 17th Judicial District when those fields appear. The search form is built around hearing dates, but the research found a clear notice: at least one filter in addition to date is required.

Adams County Court Docket Sources
The Adams County Justice Center is the state court location for District Court and County Court records. Municipal court calendars are not the same as the state court docket search. Commerce City prosecutes municipal ordinance violations and most traffic violations within city limits, and its records contact is court1@c3gov.com. Thornton Municipal Court handles traffic, misdemeanor, animal, code, and parking citations. Brighton Municipal Court hears city ordinance cases, including traffic, criminal, parking, animal, and code violations.

Docket vs. Adams County Case Record

Read Adams County Docket Entries
Colorado docket entries use compact court terms. A criminal docket may show advisement, arraignment, bond hearing, pretrial conference, disposition hearing, sentencing, probation review, warrant issued, or warrant quashed. A civil docket may show complaint filed, answer, motion, response, order, judgment, satisfaction, writ, garnishment, or appeal. Domestic and probate dockets use petitioner, respondent, estate, protected person, guardian, conservator, or attorney terms.
Sealed cases, juvenile matters, mental health proceedings, protected addresses, victim or minor identifiers, financial account numbers, and medical details are not exposed in the same way as ordinary docket entries. A docket search can also fail to find municipal matters because city court records may be held by the city court. Commerce City records are destroyed four years after a case closes, so a no-record response there may mean no case exists or that retention has removed an older closed file.
