Adams County Jail Roster Search
The official Adams County Sheriff inmate search asks for first name, last name, or both. The page recommends entering just the first few letters for best results. It also carries public notices about criminal justice records, warrant limits, daily updates, surrender, dispatch, and bond contacts.
The visible roster form does not confirm booking number, date of birth, mugshot, housing, height, weight, or charge fields in the static source. Those fields should not be promised unless a live profile is inspected. For case copies or an inmate file, use the sheriff's public-records request process rather than treating the roster as a full booking packet.
The official sheriff inmate services source appears in the manifest from the ACSO inmate services page.
That page is useful because it routes jail users to bond, funds, grievances, rules, search, mail, and visitation channels from one official sheriff menu.
Use the Adams County Roster
The inmate lookup is simple, but the result should be read as a current public pointer, not as a certified custody record. Names may be entered partially. If no result appears, check spelling and consider whether the person has bonded out, been transferred, or moved to a state facility.
- Open the sheriff inmate search page and start with the last name or the first few letters of the last name.
- Add first-name letters if the result set is too broad.
- Review any matching custody or warrant notice with the sheriff's warnings in mind.
- Call the detention facility at 303-654-1850 for bond questions.
- Use a sheriff records request if a booking, case, or inmate record copy is needed.
Adams County Inmate Search Fields
The research confirmed a name-search form, not a full advanced jail database. The form fields should be shown exactly as confirmed.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Options / Format Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Name | Text | Unspecified | Enter first few letters for best results. |
| Last Name | Text | Unspecified | Can be searched alone or with first name. |
| Search Inmates | Button | n/a | Runs the visible public search. |
Adams County Inmate Record Fields
No live inmate profile was opened in the research. The safe field inventory is therefore limited to source-confirmed search and service facts. Use the court or sheriff records process for a formal copy.
| Field / Item | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name search | Roster lookup is based on first name, last name, or both. |
| Custody service links | Bond, funds, rules, mail, search, and visitation are linked from inmate services. |
| Warrant data limit | ACSO-held warrant data excludes juveniles and is for reference only. |
| Bond questions | The sheriff page directs bond questions to the detention facility. |
| Unconfirmed fields | Mugshot, booking number, physical description, pod, exact charges, and release date were not confirmed in a live sample. |
For arrest-to-charge context after a booking, see Adams County arrest records and court charges.
Adams County Detention Contacts
The Sheriff's Office headquarters and the detention facility have different roles. Headquarters handles general sheriff business, while the detention facility is the 24/7 jail contact listed for custody, bonding, and surrender questions.
The sheriff contact page also lists dispatch and non-emergency contact at 303-288-1535. That number is separate from the detention facility's general and bonding line. Use dispatch for current public-safety reporting, not for requesting copies of inmate records or asking the court to change a case setting.

Booking and Bond Records
Adams County official sources did not publish a full booking workflow in the captured pages. A conservative custody sequence is arrest or transport to the detention facility, intake and booking, property and medical or classification screening under facility rules, bond or warrant review, and an initial court step. Release can occur by bond, court order, transfer, or continued custody.
Bond questions go to the detention facility. Court appearance and case status belong with the 17th Judicial District court record, while jail custody status stays with ACSO. This split helps explain why a person may appear in the court system but not in the jail roster.
Booking information can also connect to a sheriff records request. The ACSO public-records pages state that case records and inmate records have request forms in English and Spanish, and cash payments require exact change. The records policy says CJRA or CORA requests must be written, must identify the requester and contact information, and must describe the records sought with enough detail for staff to locate them.
ACSO is not required to create a new report, build a custom compilation, or modify a record to answer a request. Fees can include copies, research and retrieval time, actual costs, specialized IT support, staff time, and possible deposits. If a request arrives after hours, the policy treats it as received the next business day.
Inmate Funds and Rules
The ACSO inmate funds page says family and friends can deposit money into an inmate account for commissary purchases, tablet services, and other approved expenses.
The most specific fee point in the research is the $30 booking fee, which is automatically deducted from money placed into an inmate account.
The ACSO inmate rules page says inmates are expected to follow facility rules, maintain personal cleanliness, respect others, and comply with staff instructions.
The rules source covers conduct, property, communication, programs, and release procedures, with detailed rules in the official PDF linked by the sheriff.
Visitation Mail and Service Schedules
Research did not capture the full visitation provider, video visit pricing, mail address format, phone vendor, tablet vendor, dress code, or child visitor rules. Use the official inmate services links for those details instead of relying on a third-party jail page.
| Service | Schedule / Availability | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Detention facility | 24/7 | Address is 150 N. 19th Ave., Brighton. |
| Warrant questions | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | Call Warrants Section at 720-322-1325. |
| Bonding questions | Call facility | 303-654-1850. |
| Sheriff headquarters | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. | General sheriff business and public contact. |
| SRP orientations | Mon/Fri 8:30 a.m.; Tue/Wed 3:00 p.m.; Thu Spanish only 3:00 p.m. | Call 720-322-1390 ext. 5 within 24 hours after release. |
Note: Full visitation times were not found in the captured static pages, so the sheriff's current visitation link should control.
The mail and visitation research gap is important. The inmate services page links to Send Mail and Visitation Schedule, but the static research did not preserve the exact rule text. That means the page can cite the official route and warn readers not to assume a vendor, address format, or visit window from older jail summaries.
DOC VINE and Sheriff App
The Colorado DOC offender search is separate from the Adams County jail roster. Use it when a sentenced offender has moved to state prison or when county custody is no longer the right source.
DOC search is a state prison channel, so it should not be confused with current Adams County jail custody.
Colorado VINE provides custody-status and criminal case information notifications. It is useful when a user needs notice of a change rather than a one-time roster lookup. VINE does not replace the Adams County roster for current jail custody or the court Records Unit for copies of a case file.
The Adams County Sheriff CO app also bundles Inmate Search, Warrant Search, SOTAR, alerts, and ACSO contacts in a mobile format. The Google Play listing identifies the developer as OCV, LLC and describes links to news, job and volunteer information, concealed handgun permit information, emergency push notifications, and phone, email, office, and social contact methods. The Apple listing describes notifications, special events, incident reporting, and community portal access.
These official channels should be kept distinct. The roster is a county jail search. DOC is for sentenced state prison offenders. VINE is for notification. The sheriff records request process is for copies of inmate or case records that are not fully available from a public lookup screen.
The CBI sex offender registry is also separate from jail custody. The sheriff app lists SOTAR access, while the research identifies the Colorado CBI registry as a state registry search. A person can be in a registry database without being in current Adams County jail custody, and a jail roster result does not replace registry or criminal court research.
For court dates after a booking, use the Colorado Judicial docket search or the Adams County court Records Unit. Jail staff can answer custody and bond questions, but court filings, dispositions, sentencing orders, probation terms, and transcripts are judicial records. The 17th Judicial District also states that it does not provide routine audio recordings of hearings except when required by law, so transcript requests use the court reporter channel instead of the jail or sheriff records desk for official court copies.
